We are excited to announce that White Oaks Rehabilitation & Nursing Center will be hosting a White Oaks Alzheimer's Awareness Walk & Fair on Saturday, September 20th from 10:30AM - 4:00 PM, and we would love your support! Show your support! Our event will begin with a Mini Alzheimer’s Walk with our residents and their loved ones, followed by a Community Fair filled with games, vendors, music, food, and more. We need volunteers, vendors, sponsors, local businesses, and community organizations to help make this event a success. Ways You Can Get Involved: 💜 Become a Sponsor: Make a minimum donation of $100 and promote your business or organization with a table. Hand out brochures, flyers, and promotional items. Consider operating one of our game booths, providing drinks or snacks or sponsoring an entertainer or special attraction such as the Photo Booth or Petting Zoo. All sponsors will be featured on our event flyers and social media pages. 💜 Volunteer Your Time: Help escort and assist our residents in wheelchairs during the walk or lend a helping hand at game booths, food stations, or event set-up/clean-up. 💜 Lend Equipment or Donate Goods: We are looking to borrow tables, chairs, tents, a cotton candy machine, popcorn machine, dunk tank, and any other fun outdoor games or decorations. We are looking for donations of bottled water, soda cans, assorted chips, and snacks. 💜 Contribute Prizes or Giveaways: We would like to raffle off items such as small electronics, gift cards, coupons, or gift baskets. Any small prizes for games are greatly appreciated. This fundraiser is about more than just fun - it’s about raising awareness for Alzheimer’s and showing support for those impacted by it. We are inviting our residents’ families, friends, children, and the wider community to join in.
